Privacy policy
and cookies.
Last updated: 4 October 2026This notice explains what personal data this site processes and how, pursuant to Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
Who processes your data
The data controller is IZILab S.r.l. (hereinafter IZILab), with registered office at Viale di Augusto 132, 80125 Naples, Italy, VAT number and tax code 10322611210, registered in the Naples Companies Register (REA NA-1097195). For any privacy question you can write to info@izilab.it or, for formal communications, to the certified email (PEC) address izilab@legalmail.it.
What this site is
izilab.it is a site presenting and disseminating IZILab's research activity. It does not offer registration, restricted areas, newsletters, advertising or user profiling.
What data we process and why
Browsing data
The systems that run the site collect, in the course of normal operation, some data that Internet protocols transmit implicitly: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages requested, date and time of the request, outcome. We use them only to ensure the site works and is secure. Legal basis: the controller's legitimate interest in the security and proper functioning of the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). They are kept for the time strictly necessary for these purposes, in line with the hosting provider's log retention policies.
Data you send us
The form on the Contact page does not store or transmit the data you enter: it prepares an email message in your mail program, addressed to info@izilab.it, which is sent only if you send it. When you write to us, we process the data in the message (name, email address, organisation, content of the request) to reply to you and, if you ask, to organise a demo or a meeting. Legal basis: performance of pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for general enquiries, legitimate interest in replying (Art. 6(1)(f)). Providing the data is optional, but without it we cannot reply. We keep messages for the time needed to follow up the request and for any legal obligations and, if a relationship begins, for its duration.
Who we share data with
We do not sell data and we do not disseminate it. Authorised persons within IZILab and IT service providers acting as data processors (for example hosting and email) may access it, for the stated purposes. The up-to-date list of processors can be requested at info@izilab.it. Data may be disclosed to public authorities when the law requires it.
Third-party services and sites
To display the pages correctly, the site loads some files, such as images and typefaces, from a content delivery network operated by our hosting provider. When your browser requests these files, the provider receives your IP address and the technical details of the request; IZILab does not use them for any other purpose. The site also contains links to third-party sites (for example LinkedIn, the Association of Professional Futurists, the Futures Thinking Hub) which have their own notices and which IZILab does not control.
Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Some of our service providers may also process data outside the European Economic Area. In these cases the transfer takes place on the basis of a European Commission adequacy decision or the other safeguards provided for in Chapter V of the GDPR, such as standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time for:
- —access to your data and information about how it is processed
- —rectification of inaccurate data or its completion
- —erasure of data, in the cases provided for by law
- —restriction of processing
- —portability of the data you have provided to us
- —objection to processing based on legitimate interest
If processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before. To exercise your rights write to info@izilab.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Rome, www.garanteprivacy.it).

The site is not aimed at minors and IZILab does not knowingly collect their personal data.
